Along with our families and friends we enjoy the formality and the many social activities that make it a fun and an enjoyable society to be a part of. One of the important aspects of Freemasonry are the values and traditions that have been preserved over its many years. Freemasonry has clearly moved with the times but its principles and beliefs remain unchanged.

While Freemasonry has its branches spread across the world, Glossopdale Lodge has its roots deeply ingrained in the community we live and work in. Our members come together from all walks of life to enjoy a social and friendly environment. We are the fourth oldest Lodge in Derbyshire and have a long and proud History.

Helping Others in our community through fund raising and volunteering is one of our cornerstones. None of this is dramatic or attention-seeking, yet its effect is unmistakable. Taken together, these acts of generosity are strengthening the fabric of the town in quiet, practical, and deeply meaningful ways.

Across Glossop, similar stories are unfolding. A youth football club that could not afford new kit, a mental health drop-in centre struggling to keep its doors open, and an army cadet group facing a lack of public funding have each been strengthened by modest grants and the commitment of local volunteers. The grants themselves are not large, often only a few hundred pounds, but their impact reaches far beyond their value. They provide the starting point, while volunteers turn that into something lasting.
